Gateway City Corvette Association

The Gateway Corvette Association was organized in August 1976. The original members were Dwight Washington, Earl Holloway, Fred Burnett, Paul Haynes, Fred Hudson, Holland Thorpe and Jerome Swift.
The original club name was “Ebony Vette Sette” whose theme song was “Ain’t No Stopping Us Now” by McFadden and Whitehead. The current club name is Gateway City Corvette Association, which was changed on December 13, 1986.
The purpose of the Gateway City Corvette Association is to promote the common interest of Corvette owners in both civic and social events centered around the Corvette automobile.
